House for writers - The Veerhuis

The Veerhuis, located on the Schiemond, once served as the departure point for the ferry service between the north bank and the shipyard of the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij. Now the Droom en Daad Foundation is developing plans to realise a house for writers in the Veerhuis. A place along the Maas river where the craft of writing is celebrated and where everyone who wants to (learn to) write is welcome.

The monument from 1917 was designed by architect H.A.J. Baanders.
